TAJ MAHAL

This mausoleum is one of the 7 wonders of the World. It was completed in 25 years with the help of 20000 peasants. It is located along the Bank of Yamuna river and all the white marble which has been used for construction came from Rajasthan. Shahajahan built this monument in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Begum. Mumtaj mahal was Shahjahans 4th wife and died while giving birth to 14th child. Inside the Taj Mahal there are many fascinating places to see like Big Entrance gate, Mosque, Mughal style guest house. There is a spectacular view of Mehtab Bagh and Agra Fort. AGRA FORT

               It was once a home of Mughals, after winning the 1526 Panipat war, Babur stayed in this Fort. It is located along the bank of Yamuna River and was completely made up of Red Marble. Inside the Agra fort, it is usually divided into two parts – Old Fort and New Fort. Old fort belongs to the Jahangir Mahal completely made up of Red Marble, Babur, Jahangir all lived here after coming to india. They also did lots of modification. Later during the perioud of Shahjahan, he converted half of the palaces into White marble. White marble palace is the same place where aurangzeb captured his father.  Shivaji was also captured in 1666 by Aurangzeb in this Fort. Ticket Price – 500/- INR for Foreigner, 30/- INR for indians

                Mehtab Bagh

Mehtab Bagh or Moonlight garden, this garden is located in the North of Taj Mahal along the Yamuna River. It was constructed by Mughal emperor Babur. Babur constructed this Garden according to persian style, as he was fond of rivers and nature. So, he build this and planted thousands of Fruit trees inside it.  Black Taj Mahal story also came from this Garden

Baby Taj (Itmad-ud-daulah)

This mausoleum is often called ‘Baby Taj’ or ‘Jewel Box’. Mirza Gyas Beg and his family are buried here. Mirja Gyas Beg was the father of Noorjahan and Grand Father of Mumtaj Mahal. Marble inlay work has been done at a extensive base. It is also located along the Bank of Yamuna River. Best part of this mughal style building is its Artwork, which is perfectly awesome. It is more beautiful than Taj Mahal

Akbar’s Tomb

It is located in Sikandra and was completed in 1613. Jahangir completed this mausoleum in 1613. This Tomb is surrounded by Big Parks and you can easily see Black bucks roaming freely. There are also some old building that you can see in Akbar’s Tomb like Lodhi Tomb, Kaanch Mahal.

Fatehpur Sikri

This Fort was completed by Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1571. It is located along the Border of Agra – Rajasthan. This Place has a very fascinating story, As Akbar didn’t have any son, someone suggested him to meet sufi saint in Fatehpur Sikri. With his blessing Akbar got the son, he was so impressed with him that he planned to make a Fort in Fatehpur Sikri and later make it his Mughal Capital of India. Fatehpur Sikri was the Mughal Capital for almost 15 years, later it got shifted back to Agra because of Water Problem.

Jama Masjid (Mughal Mosque)

This mosque is a holy place to offer prayer. It was completed by Shahjahan beloved daughter Jahanara. It is located in the middle of the Agra City. Best part about this Mosque is its location, which is just in the middle of the city and accessible 24×7. It is surrounded by markets, food joints, narrow streets.
